Ariana Mello begins a new international phase in cinema and joins the cast of “PREY”
Brazilian actress, model, and personality Ariana Mello is entering a new stage in her artistic career. After building a trajectory tied to beauty pageants, fashion, and television, the Brazilian is now expanding her presence in the international market by joining the cast of “PREY”, a new film project directed by award-winning British filmmaker Luke Mayers, from On Top Film.
Luke Mayers has already earned recognition in British independent cinema. His feature film “A Brother’s Bond” won the Best Independent Film award at the National Film Awards UK 2025, one of the main award ceremonies dedicated to film and television in the United Kingdom. The director also helmed “On Top”, a production currently available on Prime Video.
For Ariana, participating in “PREY” represents another major step in a journey that began with beauty pageants and expanded into television, fashion, and now, international cinema.
The dream of acting has always been present, and in recent months, the Brazilian actress intensified her professional preparation, studying acting and polishing her English specifically with new opportunities outside Brazil in mind.
“I am experiencing a very special moment professionally. I have always wanted to act, and I understood that to build an international career, I needed to study, prepare myself, and be ready for bigger opportunities.”
In Luke Mayers’ new project, Ariana stars alongside Dimitri, who plays her husband in the production. The news has already begun to be shared publicly on the director’s social media, while other details regarding the characters and storyline remain under wraps.
“I am so happy to be part of this project and to work with Luke and this cast. I can’t reveal much about the story yet, so I think it’s more exciting to leave a few surprises for the audience,” says Ariana.
Her role in “PREY” is just one of the highlights of this new phase. Ariana is also already preparing for a larger-scale film project scheduled for 2027, the details of which are still being kept confidential.
“I have a very important project lined up for 2027, and a big part of my preparation right now is focused on it. I can’t reveal details yet, but it means a lot to me.”
With a background in beauty pageants, television, and fashion, Ariana Mello is now increasingly focusing her career on acting, placing her bets on international training and new screen projects.
“Everything I’ve experienced up to this point has been part of my growth. Now I want to keep growing as an actress and build an increasingly solid international career.”
