The São Paulo City Council hosted an emotional ceremony honoring Dr. Renata de Nóbrega during the “É do Empreendedorismo com Propósito 2025” Awards. The physician was recognized in the “Actions with Purpose” category through the Renata de Nóbrega Institute, for its pioneering work in health promotion, advocacy for people with albinism, and its strong ethical commitment to medicine.

Created by Miller Gomes and Bruno Oliveira, the award has become one of Brazil’s most respected initiatives recognizing entrepreneurs, artists, and social change-makers who combine professional excellence with real social impact. This year’s event went beyond symbolic recognition by offering a free public health initiative, benefiting more than 400 women, men, and children throughout the day at Pátio Papa Francisco, inside the City Council building.

Leading the institute that bears her name, Dr. Renata de Nóbrega has gained national recognition for her work in Nutrology and, more recently, Psychiatry, combining scientific expertise with social inclusion. Special attention was given to her dedication to improving visibility and healthcare access for people with albinism—still a largely underserved population in Brazil.

“Receiving the ‘Entrepreneurship with Purpose’ Award reinforces my belief that medicine must be a tool for dignity, inclusion, and social transformation. The Renata de Nóbrega Institute was created to give visibility to those who are often forgotten, especially people with albinism, uniting science, ethics, and humanity to create real impact,” said Dr. Renata.

The ceremony also honored nationally renowned figures, including comedian and TV host Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega, recognized for his lifelong contribution to Brazilian communication. Actress Glória Pires lent her name to the social initiative “Bem Glória”, reinforcing the connection between arts and humanitarian causes.

The event took place at the President João Brasil Vita Grand Hall – Palácio Anchieta, closing a day marked by solidarity, citizenship, and a shared commitment to a more inclusive future.
